Stem walls done. Now its time to tie the floor slab rebar into the stem walls.
A pile cap peeking out of the SW corner of the living room - a mollusk for our rusticated base.
A close up of the stem wall at the west end of the living room. This stem wall is 2'-6" above the finish floor. The concrete upstands are to improve the waterproofing of the wall - the back upstand is where a window occurs, the forward upstand is where solid wall occurs.
A good view of the CMU wall with the kitchen island supply and waste lines in the foreground.
An exposed concrete wall at the entry. It was meant to be finished with 2x4s so that the pattern would be a little finer than the 2x10 pattern with which we ended up.
Rebar at the living room floor slab over a couple of inches of sand.
Formwork at the living room steps.
