Close up of the CMU wall showing some variation in the joint width, adding some life and detail to the space.
The entry vestibule from the north.
The north end of the house. Note the deep shade provided by the overhand on the face of the west facade in the middle of July at half past 1 pm.
Looking up at the sun through the joists of the overhang.
The top of the CMU wall ready to be grouted.
A little lower down on the CMU wall, straps and ledger beam bolts.
Looking down the edge of the roof, cantilevered roof joists ready to be trimmed to the proper length.
The tennis court sized roof just before it is sheathed in plywood.
Plumbing from the kidss bathroom; the contractor wisely used cast iron for the vertical runs of the drain lines. ABS or plastic drain piping is much noisier than cast iron as waste travels down the pipe.
The wall, all done except for the final grout.
Another view of the wall, just off of the office floor framing.
And again, the wall from the street.
Job site sign made from scraps left over by the contractor.
