Nice stone for the master bath ... with a view into the shower!
Detail of the stair into the second floor. The metal guardrail will be finished with a glass panel.
The patio bench and BBQ frame just cast in concrete. The strong color and pattern will fade as the concrete cures.
... and the machines that make it go. (To be concealed beneath a wood deck.)
The newly installed wood hot tub ready for use ...
The front door missing one key element that the client wouldn't go for - the box up under the right side of the overhang was supposed to be orange! A touch of color to activate the facade and get the pinwheel layout 'spinning'. Next time!
Under the roof overhang, looking back at the entry. Almost all of the pieces are in place.
This is the joint between the hall and the kitchen where the flooring transitions from concrete to cork. Also a good view of the flush wood base and reveal ... love that detail! (The blue panel is the plastic protection cover on the cabinetry; to be removed soon.)
Forgot the wide angle lens to shoot the HVAC unit in the garage ...big stuff!
Close in on the stair treads yet to be installed; the original plan was to build up the treads and finish in wood veneer. This would have been cleaner visually, more durable but also more expensive so we had to go with stock sawn lumber.
A shot to leave you with: sunlight streaming through the clerestory window, filling the entry.

Looking out over Culver City, Santa Monica and the Malibu mountains beyond. Everything in place save a little grass on the lawn.
The front elevation close to finished.
Hardscape in the front yard cast and ready to go.
